The Backyard Easter hamper

The Backyard and Wild Yeast FNQ have combined to pack an Easter hamper piled high with gourmet goodies perfect for grazing on across the long weekend.

The hamper includes Wild Yeast’s glazed hot crossed buns, seeded sourdough loaf and sourdough fruit load baguette as well as almond croissants, Belgian-style waffles with hazelnut and chocolate ganache, fresh strawberries, Mungalli yoghurt, and house-made marmalade.

PRICE  $65 for two people, $110 for four people, $22.50 for each additional person

Sweet Easter treats

Executive Chef Aaron Habgood has put an Easter twist on The Backyard’s famous fondue and created a sweet treat stacked high with chocolate eggs, nougat, homemade doughnuts and waffles, fresh strawberries and a trio of creamy sauces.

Serving up the seafood

Give meat a miss on Good Friday and go with seafood instead by ordering The backyard’s signature platter of shells.

The pescatarian feast features freshly-cooked prawns, Moreton Bay bugs, South Australian oysters, beer battered mackerel and crispy squid as well as mixed leaf salad and cider dressing, rustic fries and dipping sauce.

Hot crossed buns will be on the menu in The Kiosk from April 1 to April 11 with the delicious Wild Yeast FNQ buns set to be served complimentary beside any barista coffee.
